About Me:

C.J. Spotswood, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC aka “EntheoNurse” is a board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with his private practice in central Maine and Chief Psychiatric Clinician for REMAP Therapeutics . C.J. is a 3rd generation male nurse and has over 25 years of psychiatric nursing experience. C.J. graduated from The University of Southern Maine’s School of Nursing with his masters in nursing (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner). C.J.’s undergraduate nursing degree (BSN) was from the University of Maine at Augusta, one of 15 nursing schools endorsed as a holistic school of nursing, where the curriculum included yoga, Reiki, and various other complimentary and alternative modalities. C.J. is a graduate of the California Institute of Integral Studies’ (CIIS) Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research program.

C.J. has been researching and teaching on psychedelics since 2018, which include having presented at the American Psychiatric Nurse Association’s National Conference on psychedelics in psychiatry, teaching master classes for Psychedelics Today’s Navigating Psychedelics: Clinicians & Therapists and Vital education programs, co-authored Psychedelic.Support’s continuing education module on psilocybin, and several peer-reviewed publications.

C.J. is the author of “The Microdosing Guidebook: A Step-by-Step Manual to Improve Your Physical and Mental Health through Psychedelic Medicine” available through Ulysses Press. C.J. presents an accredited continuing education program entitled “Psychedelics in Psychiatry for Nurses” on his personal website. C.J. is a member of OPENurses (Organization of Psychedelic and Entheogenic Nurses), the Psychedelics and Pain Association, the Psychedelic Medicine Association, and the American Psychiatric Nurse Association. When he is not working, reading, or writing, he can be found spending time with his daughter Malarie exploring Maine’s outdoors and craft breweries.
